Elvis Chantre has a PhD in Civil Engineering from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (2012), Postdoctoral in 2014 at the University of State of Rio de Janeiro, also was a professor at the Post-Graduate Program in Civil Engineering, State University of Rio de Janeiro (PGECIV).
He is an assistant professor at University of Cabo Verde and currently runs the Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT) and has experience as a professor in Civil Engineering, with emphasis on structures, working mainly on the following topics:
- computational modeling
- structural dynamics
- dynamic nonlinear analysis
- reinforced concrete and human comfort
He has with several publications and presentations in international conferences.
