2Poached Pear Porridge
Winter is here and all we are craving is warmth for breakfast! Our love for porridge is reignited with this poached pear porridge recipe.
Making porridge is quick and easy; that’s another reason why we love it so much. Poaching your pears can take a little time. So, in the spirit of efficiency and making life that little bit easier, make a batch of poached pears to get you through the week. They will keep in the fridge!
Ingredients
- 1 pear - peeled with stem taken off
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/2 C maple syrup
- 1/2 L water
- 1 C rolled oats
- 1 tsp vanilla powder
- 1/2 C granola
- 1/4 C sultanas
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Honey or maple syrup to drizzle on top
- 2 C nut milk (made using our Nut Mylk Base) *Tip: Blend your milk the night before so it thickens up overnight
