Each month we aim to bring you an intimate interview on people we love. Meet Eloura Wild. She has an inspiring look on life at just 23!

TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF, AND WHAT YOU DO

I’m Eloura. I’m a passionate vegan, minimalist and yogini.I’m a YouTuber who loves to help people on their journeys whilst sharing my own. I talk about topics like the ones I mentioned above + self love, feminism, equality, zero waste, conscious living, mindfulness and more.

WAS THERE A DECIDING FACTOR THAT LED YOU TO THIS PATH OR WAS IT A NATURAL PROGRESSION?

Everything happened at different times for me. But after I found veganism everything else just fell into place. It really opened my mind to other things. I found yoga 6 years ago because I had chronic back pain and wanted some relief. I went vegan over 2 years ago because I worked on a dairy farm and saw the animal cruelty first hand. Minimalism happened when I was moving house early 2017 and realised how much “stuff” I had. Then came self love, zero waste and all the rest!

HOW DOES “BEING HEALTHY” MANIFEST FOR YOU?

Being healthy to me isn’t just about what I put into my body. It’s about everything. Of course being vegan and eating whole foods is a great thing but also it’s about moving your body, being kind to yourself & having a good relationship with yourself. Self love, meditation and yoga are very important to me.

WHAT DOES YOUR MORNING RITUAL LOOK LIKE?

I love moving my body first thing in the morning. My partner and I will go for a walk, bicycle ride or skate. Then I will make a big smoothie. My favourite at the moment is frozen banana, cocoa, water & your nut mylk base! Mediation and yoga plays an important role in my mornings. I feel as though they help me to stay mindful throughout the day, calm & relaxed.

WHAT ARE THREE WAYS YOU TRY TO REDUCE YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT AROUND YOUR HOME?

Veganism. Cutting out the dairy & meat makes a huge difference. I try to buy organic and locally grown fruit and veg

Reuse! I find a lot of things can be reused from around the home. For example, I hand sewed teddy bears the other day from an old t-shirt and used the stuffing from an old pillow.

Minimalism. Buying less stuff means less resources used to make that item.

WHAT PIECE OF ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO IS STARTING THE MOVE TOWARDS MINIMALISM?

My first piece of advice would be to stop the flow of things coming into your home. And if you think you “need” to purchase something then always ask yourself these questions: “Do I truly need this?” “Will buying this item truly benefit me?” “Is this something I’m going to use everyday?” If not then just walk away. Be honest with yourself you will realise you don’t need a lot of these things.

WHAT’S A STAPLE IN YOUR DIET YOU COULDN’T LIVE WITHOUT?

Bananas! I eat them everyday and just love them. They’re packed full of good stuff and they are so versatile.

WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST INSPIRATION?

Honestly… myself. I do get bits and pieces of inspiration from others but I think it’s so important to invest in yourself and inspire yourself to be better and do better.

WHAT’S YOUR GO TO MEAL?

Roasted veg! With avocado and black beans on the side. It’s so easy to make. A bit of vegan gravy or cashew cheese. Simple but healthy and nutritious.
