Hands up who loved cherry ripe back in the day? We sure did! We’ve adapted a classic chocolate bar: vegan strawberry ripe bars! Dairy free, gluten free, refined sugar free and most importantly, guilt free! Like most no-bake desserts, this is made in well under and hour. How much chocolate you want on these bars is totally up to you. Drizzle them, coat them. The choice is yours.

You are not restricted to making bars here. You could turn these into a slice, cutting into squares or roll into balls and coat or drizzle with chocolate.

What’s great about these vegan strawberry ripe bars is they aren’t too sweet! We’ve added minimal amounts of coconut sugar. Therefore, the sweetness is simply coming from the strawberries and coconut.

Strawberries are a great source of vitamin C, making it an excellent immune and anti-ageing food. Did you know that strawberries are also a good source of calcium? Not to mention magnesium and phosphorous.

Gooey chocolate lava mug cake, ‘nough said. Made for one and ready in about 25 minutes from start to finish, we’ve tried to make this as “least-naughty” as possible. That’s why we’ve added chocolate protein powder into the mix and omitted any additional sugars or sweeteners.

Not only is it quick and easy to make, this gooey chocolate mug cake recipe is totally adaptable to your dietary requirements too. It’s a plant-based recipe but the oil can be substituted for butter if you prefer.

Raw, vegan, cherry ripe bliss balls. Made simply with a base of almonds, walnuts, dates and coconut oil. This recipe is quick, easy and deliciously satisfying. With the addition of protein powder, not only are these cherry ripe bliss balls a guilt-free snack, but a regulator of energy by balancing blood sugar levels, and keeping you full. These make for an excellent afternoon snack or dessert, or lunchbox addition.

*makes 8-12 balls depending on the size you make them

Almonds, walnuts and protein powder make these a high protein snack. Protein is essential for energy production and the balancing our blood sugar levels.

Cacao is rich in magnesium. Did you know that a magnesium deficiency can present as chocolate cravings? A great way to boost magnesium levels through food as medicine. Magnesium is important for all aspects of nervous system function and can support nervous tension.

These nuts, dates and cherries provide you with an excellent source of dietary fibre. This supports healthy bowel movements, and a sense of satiety.

Agave syrup should be watched in those who are fructose intolerant, but can easily be switched for a sweetener of your choice. We chose unrefined, dark agave syrup as it’s mineral rich, low GI, and you don’t need a lot to get a sweet flavour!

If that afternoon sugar craving is calling you, these bliss balls are the perfect way to satisfy that itch. The combination of protein, fibre and healthy fats are all you need to balance those blood sugar levels.

This no bake lemon slice recipe will rock you! We’ve taken a classic Aussie treat and made it into a high protein and vegan friendly snack. Made in no time, it’s simply delicious.

We’re passionate about food being guilt free. As a result, we added some protein powder to the base of this lemon slice and went with sweeteners that have a low glycemic index. That way, you don’t crash and burn after consuming this deliciousness.

You may need to make your xylitol powdered. You can do this in your Thermomix or blender on a high speed.

Whilst we can’t say this is gluten-free due to the main flour being oat, we can say that gluten intolerant individuals usually tolerate oats. The great thing about oats is that it is abundant in something called beta-glucans: a dietary fibre which forms a thick gel within the digestive tract and absorbs cholesterol, preventing it from being absorbed into the body. Oats are an excellent food for those with elevated cholesterol.

Our lemon slice is sweetened with rice malt syrup which has an incredibly low glycemic index, making it a healthier option.

The combination of protein powder and almond butter provide you with a blend of amino acids and trace minerals, as well as providing sustained energy by stabilising blood sugars.

Xylitol contains 40% less calories than table sugar. Xylitol is non fermentable and does not feed acid-forming oral bacteria, making it excellent for oral hygiene and preventing tooth decay. It has a negligible effect on blood sugar and insulin secretion, and has a low glycemic index. In addition, several animal studies suggest xylitol improves bone density!

This easy vegan choc banana bread recipe is our go-to when we’ve overdone it with sugar, treats and those ‘not so good for you’ foods. With no refined sugar or any sweetener other than two bananas and six dates this is an incredibly filling snack that we just can’t get enough of!

Have you cooked with oat flour before? It’s fantastic! It’s a great addition to your baking, especially this vegan choc-banana bread. It gives the perfect amount of moistness (really don’t like that word but, here we are), delicious taste and a MASSIVE dose of dietary fibre. Not only is it filling but an excellent intestinal broom. Oats are especially good for anyone with high cholesterol as they’re rich in beta glucans. These can help reduce cholesterol levels and protect against heart disease. If you are coeliac or prefer to be completely gluten free then you could use a blend of besan, rice or quinoa flour.

Carob is amazing. It’s naturally sweet so, by adding it to recipes, you can reduce your sweetener amount. It’s caffeine-free for those sensitive souls AND it’s a good source of calcium.

Once you’ve made your banana bread, whack it into a Tupperware container and refrigerate. We love popping a slice in the toaster and having with a dollop of coconut yogurt as a mid-morning snack – pure bliss.
