Raw, vegan, cherry ripe bliss balls. Made simply with a base of almonds, walnuts, dates and coconut oil. This recipe is quick, easy and deliciously satisfying. With the addition of protein powder, not only are these cherry ripe bliss balls a guilt-free snack, but a regulator of energy by balancing blood sugar levels, and keeping you full. These make for an excellent afternoon snack or dessert, or lunchbox addition.

*makes 8-12 balls depending on the size you make them

Almonds, walnuts and protein powder make these a high protein snack. Protein is essential for energy production and the balancing our blood sugar levels.

Cacao is rich in magnesium. Did you know that a magnesium deficiency can present as chocolate cravings? A great way to boost magnesium levels through food as medicine. Magnesium is important for all aspects of nervous system function and can support nervous tension.

These nuts, dates and cherries provide you with an excellent source of dietary fibre. This supports healthy bowel movements, and a sense of satiety.

Agave syrup should be watched in those who are fructose intolerant, but can easily be switched for a sweetener of your choice. We chose unrefined, dark agave syrup as it’s mineral rich, low GI, and you don’t need a lot to get a sweet flavour!

If that afternoon sugar craving is calling you, these bliss balls are the perfect way to satisfy that itch. The combination of protein, fibre and healthy fats are all you need to balance those blood sugar levels.

This easy vegan choc banana bread recipe is our go-to when we’ve overdone it with sugar, treats and those ‘not so good for you’ foods. With no refined sugar or any sweetener other than two bananas and six dates this is an incredibly filling snack that we just can’t get enough of!

Have you cooked with oat flour before? It’s fantastic! It’s a great addition to your baking, especially this vegan choc-banana bread. It gives the perfect amount of moistness (really don’t like that word but, here we are), delicious taste and a MASSIVE dose of dietary fibre. Not only is it filling but an excellent intestinal broom. Oats are especially good for anyone with high cholesterol as they’re rich in beta glucans. These can help reduce cholesterol levels and protect against heart disease. If you are coeliac or prefer to be completely gluten free then you could use a blend of besan, rice or quinoa flour.

Carob is amazing. It’s naturally sweet so, by adding it to recipes, you can reduce your sweetener amount. It’s caffeine-free for those sensitive souls AND it’s a good source of calcium.

Once you’ve made your banana bread, whack it into a Tupperware container and refrigerate. We love popping a slice in the toaster and having with a dollop of coconut yogurt as a mid-morning snack – pure bliss.

This 7-ingredient, refined sugar-free, delicious salted caramel smoothie can be made in minutes yet will satisfy for hours. With a secret ingredient that brings a creaminess you’ve been waiting for, you’ll never guess what vegetable is used to create this consistency, whilst remaining discreet.

This delicious salted caramel smoothie is high in protein, therefore great for post-workout. Being high protein means that it helps with the repair of muscles and maintaining muscle mass. It’s also blood sugar regulating and provides sustained energy throughout the day. Mesquite is also blood sugar regulating and a low GI food that’s high in minerals – it’s also provides a beautiful and subtle caramel flavour. Lastly, the banana, dates and zucchini support healthy bowels by providing an excellent source of fibre. If you’re game, feel free to add a whole zucchini in!

We love this smoothie as a snack, for breakfast or even for dessert.

This Raw Vegan Caramel Slice recipe will have you hooked for life. It’s our personal favourite. A perfect guilt-free treat that’s low GI, gluten and dairy free.

A healthy alternative to a classic slice. This raw, vegan, caramel slice is gluten free, egg and soy free, dairy free and paleo.

This slice is low GI due to ingredients like dark agave syrup, mesquite, almonds and cashews. This means you get a sustained release of energy as opposed to high GI foods (such as refined sugar) causing spikes and crashes in energy levels. Some call this 3:30-itis.

Cashews and almonds are a great source of fibre and protein. The high fibre and protein content provides you with a sense of feeling full. Teamed with low Gi ingredients, you won’t feel the need to devour the entire tray, nor will you feel sick after consuming this delicious caramel slice.

Who would’ve thought that something that tastes so good is not actually bad for you?
