Hands up who loved cherry ripe back in the day? We sure did! We’ve adapted a classic chocolate bar: vegan strawberry ripe bars! Dairy free, gluten free, refined sugar free and most importantly, guilt free! Like most no-bake desserts, this is made in well under and hour. How much chocolate you want on these bars is totally up to you. Drizzle them, coat them. The choice is yours.

You are not restricted to making bars here. You could turn these into a slice, cutting into squares or roll into balls and coat or drizzle with chocolate.

What’s great about these vegan strawberry ripe bars is they aren’t too sweet! We’ve added minimal amounts of coconut sugar. Therefore, the sweetness is simply coming from the strawberries and coconut.

Strawberries are a great source of vitamin C, making it an excellent immune and anti-ageing food. Did you know that strawberries are also a good source of calcium? Not to mention magnesium and phosphorous.

Ok, so one thing we missed terribly when going vegan was potato salad. Little back story; we (the girl bosses of Ulu) have been best mates for 20 years so we share majority of our memories. One of our closest friends always made potato salad. Whenever there was a gathering we were always so excited about it because we knew this friend would always make potato salad and it was the bomb! Well, we finally have a vegan alternative. Yay!

What makes it so creamy is our vegan mayonnaise from our DIY Condiments range! You only need water, oil and a stick blender to make your mayo at home!

This potato salad is so great because it’s the perfect dish to bring to a gathering. Everyone always loves a good potato salad. We also love it because it keeps in the fridge, so you can stand by the fridge and just eat it from the bowl with a fork. Who used to do that? We sure did…and still do!

We love Mexican! If you’re a fan of clean eating, then this Mexican bliss bowl is for you. Super quick and easy and full of fresh ingredients. This is a great recipe if you have a heap of veggies in your fridge that need to be used. Chuck them all in!

The drizzle of chipotle aioli on top turns a simple meal into a flavour party.

We developed DIY Condiments so you can simply make what you need. You just need a neutral flavoured oil (we love unrefined, organic sunflower oil) and a stick blender (you can pick these up quite cheap from Big W or Kmart).

These tasty little spiced chickpeas are the perfect snack, addition to a platter or added to the main event. With a delicious blend of moroccan spices and a hint of tamari, these will help take any meal to the next level of flavour.

If you’re struggling to get enough protein in, there’s no need to worry! These spiced chickpeas are an easy way to bump up your protein levels.

As mentioned, chickpeas are a great source of protein. 1 cup gives you 14.5 grams of protein. They are low in fat and high in dietary fibre. 12.5 grams per cup to be exact. For vegans, vegetarians or those simply trying to increase their protein intake, chickpeas are a great way to go.

Tamari is a much healthier alternative to soy sauce. Whilst both are derived for fermented soybeans, the soybeans used for soy sauce are roasted with wheat, approx. 50:50 ratio. Tamari uses little to no wheat. It is a better option for those who are gluten intolerant. You can find gluten free tamari, as-well.

Raw snickers bars. Yes, you heard correctly. Dare we say it? This tastes better than the real thing. Why? It’s delicious and guilt free at the same time! The raw snickers bar recipe is so quick and easy, with minimal ingredients and minimal effort.

Did you know that 20 grams (about a tablespoon) of peanut butter gives you approximately 6 grams of protein? Almonds are roughly the same making this raw snickers bar a protein powerhouse treat!

Tahini is a rich source of protein and calcium. 20 grams of tahini gives you 4.4 grams of protein and a whopping 280mg of calcium! Always opt for unhulled over hulled. Unhulled means the outer shell remains in tact. If you choose hulled tahini, you are only getting 37mg of calcium. Keep in mind that most of the fibre is found in that outer shell.

Agave syrup has a low glycemic index so, teamed with protein has a positive effect on insulin sensitivity.

Tired of having the same old rice dish? Why not try our turmeric and coconut rice stuffed capsicums? A simple dish packed full of flavour. This turmeric and coconut rice recipe is rather moreish. It could be the currants and cashews we’ve added, it could be the fragrant turmeric. Either way, it’s a winner!

We’ve ramped the flavour in this recipe. Enjoy basmati rice, cooked in coconut milk, aromatic spices and a hint of sweetness from the currants. An easy to make meal that is rather versatile. We’ve gone with stuffed capsicums, but this also makes an excellent side dish too.

Turmeric has an endless list of health benefits. This aromatic spice is anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, liver protective and may even prevent dementia and alzheimers!

This turmeric and coconut stuffed capsicums recipe is gluten free, dairy free and gut friendly. Due to its anti-inflammatory and aromatic properties, turmeric its the perfect addition to cooking for someone who suffers from bloating and digestive discomfort.

The addition of cashews helps bump up the protein level.

We snuck kale in too. Extra nutrients, protein and fibre without even knowing it.
